Tuesday started asking about how confident we feel in identifying and understanding challenges in our communities. This led to a group and small group conversations around the challenges we find. Three steps were given: global challenges, local challenges and systemic thinking.
After a coffee and portuguese snacks, we explored how connections in a system affect individuals by a short dynamic, now named Mehmet’s circle. We took this idea to our problem, trying to find the causes and effects of it.
After a great lunch and a siesta, or other activities under the rain, Darío introduced us the 11 Youth Goals, which we used to explore existing researches about our topic. After finding and sharing some statistics, studies, data… about each issue, we ended our afternoon “changing our hats” , reflecting on our work from the perspective of youth workers and thinking on the application of these learnings.
While working on our projects, we had the chance to enjoy weather wanders (rain, snow, drizzle and even sun☀!), observe local birds and nature and get to know each other in this experience.
